Refund Policy

At Shubui Tea, we strive to ensure your complete satisfaction. However, due to the nature of our products and to protect product integrity, our refund policy is intentionally strict and applies under limited conditions.
1. Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)
In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU, customers within the European Economic Area (EEA) have a legal 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of receiving their order.
However, this right does not apply to:

Sealed goods (e.g., tea packaging) that have been unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons.

Perishable or consumable products.

Custom or personalized items.
If your item qualifies:

You must return the item(s) within 14 calendar days of notifying us.
2. Return Conditions
Refunds will only be issued under the following strict conditions:

The product is unopened, unused, and in its original sealed packaging.

The return is pre-approved in writing by Shubui Tea.

The product is returned at the customer’s own expense and risk.

The return arrives at our facility in resalable condition.
Returned products that do not meet these criteria will not be refunded or returned.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

Opened or unsealed tea packages.

Items damaged due to customer mishandling or improper storage.

Gift cards and promotional products.
-
Shipping fees, customs duties, or handling charges.
4. Shipping Fees
Shipping costs are non-refundable, even if:

The order was delayed or lost due to courier error.

The customer refuses or fails to collect the delivery.

The package is returned to sender due to an incorrect or incomplete address.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If you believe you have received a damaged or defective item, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery at konnichiwa@shubui-tea.com.
Your message must include:

Clear photos of the packaging and product

Description of the issue
We will review your case at our discretion. If approved, we may issue a replacement, partial refund, or store credit. Refunds are not guaranteed for shipping-related damage (see Shipping Policy).
6. Refund Processing
If your return is approved and qualifies for a refund:

A refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Processing may take up to 14 business days after receiving the returned item.
We reserve the right to issue store credit instead of cash refunds in discretionary cases.
7. Disputes and Exceptions
Shubui Tea reserves the right to:

Refuse any return that does not comply with this policy.

Deny repeated or suspicious refund requests.

Amend or revise this policy at any time without notice.
All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Shubui Tea and are final.
